The transformer is required to operate lighting. It is fitted with an automatic fuse that triggers if anything should go wrong. All Lundby lighting components are safety tested and are harmless. Important Note: this is the Australian version of the Transformer. We do not presently have the US version of the Transformer. However, this transformer will work with a voltage converter. Note: you must use a converter, not just an outlet adapter - it must convert from your house's 110V to 220V for this transformer to work. It also has an Australian style plug. You can probably find a converter at travel or hardware stores. The best price online we found is at this site. You will need the #V4R 40 Watt Reverse Transformer and also the #4G Adapter Plug.
