Dunstan was hatched from a dragon's egg, which was found by the young princess after it rolled down from its nest perched high on the side of a mountain. She displayed the unusual egg as a centerpiece to the mantle above the fire. One morning, the princess was very surprised to find her egg missing. In place of the egg emerged a baby dragon. She fed him holly leaves and scones, taught him to speak and walk, inspired his world-renowned table manners, and encouraged him to play badminton and other games. Dunstan has grown to be a good friend to everyone. He is kind and gentle and breathes fire only when he sneezes. |
